Why I Charge Money (and you should too)

Self-empowerment and soul growth are my biggest goals with my services for my clients, so I don't want to turn people away if they are unable or unwilling to pay.

I was offering to do trades, but I wasn't feeling an equal exchange for the time and love I spend on a reading or healing I was putting out.

I am stepping into more into the role of a teacher of intuition development/ energy mastery than that of a psychic/healing practitioner.

Here are some questions I have noticed are asked a lot (either to me, or questions that I see) and I wanted to shed some light on them from my perspective so you understand my teaching style:

-What is your philosophy in a nutshell?
To be a better person than I was yesterday. To accept my life for what it is currently, and if I don't like it, to simply recognize that fact and go from there but to not dwell in any state or confuse it with being my identity.  To not try and control things but allow them to be. To trust my own self first and foremost, not to look to anyone else for approval or guidance, but to be confident in my own skin and know that my heart will not lead me astray. To know that I was never really learning anything, but remembering. To recognize and allow my own power as a soul. To remember nothing ever really goes away, just changes form. To remember all external fear is a reflection of fear of self and all external love is a reflection of love of self.

-You offer services, how does that work?

For me to feel that I am helping in the best way possible, I do a lot of self-work to make sure I am coming from a place of truth and integrity when claiming to help others in whatever way I am led to assist.

My gifts come in the form of intuitive guidance, hands-on and distance energy healing, teaching classes (yoga, tai chi, energy work aka MOGA), coaching (meditation, chanting, diet, sleep, life issues), and assisting with psychological re-sets (EFT, radionics).

I always strive for self-empowerment for my clients and not getting someone to depend on me and pay me for life.

-I am very busy, why should I make time to meditate, do MOGA, get a healing session, etc..?

The odd thing is, the less time you make for self-care because of busy life commitments, the more stress that seems to be taken on the body. You literally age faster.

Also, the more logical lives are over-analyzed, brains have so much chatter going on, inner guidance isn't being followed first and foremost.  You try to rationalize with only what you can prove is real. Your gut hunches are ignored.

Yoga, massage, meditation, and the like, may appear that you are being selfish by putting your needs before others during that time you feel you are wasting, but you really can't help others fully until you help yourself first.  Overextending yourself is fair to no one.

-What is the point of meditating anyways?  It seems like a waste of time and looks boring.

In general, meditating is to get to a point where you are technically awake, but your body is asleep and your brain is completely alert in the present moment (but not thinking, just present).  It's basically like a reset button.

If you are wondering why on earth you would want to be in the here and now and not lost in self brain talk, need I say more than, how many times have you been reading something and you get half way through only to realize you were thinking about something else?

The more you actively get in this state of being, the more easily you can do it and stay in it throughout the day.  It came naturally as children, but real life seemed to make all of us not remember how to be in the present anymore.

There are too many benefits to list why being aware is good for you, a quick google search will do wonders.

-What is the point of chanting? It sounds weird.

The reason behind chanting with meditation is to help speed up the process of getting your mind to that NOW moment by keeping your brain preoccupied with something else.  It also has many benefits, but just like meditation, there are too many to list.

-What is the point of yoga?

Yoga is a great way to practice meditating while moving.  Since it is actually trickier to be in a meditative state while doing yoga than just sitting buddha style and saying "OHMMMMMMM" it is yet another way to jump-start and expedite traditional meditation success.  And of course too many benefits to list here again.

-What is the point of tai chi and qigong?

Tai chi is a moving form of meditation that is like having acupuncture without getting the needles.  It has many benefits, but personally, I use it for my own energy mastery.

-Why do you say that what I eat matters?

I believe that poor diet and lifestyle is the #1 health issue currently.  I can say that easily because "lifestyle" is such a broad term, I think I can sum everything up under the lifestyle category.  I will focus on food primarily though.

Think about it this way.. what you eat is what keeps you alive.  The quality of your life is dependent on the quality of food.  You can't eat chicken mcnuggets and expect to have the energy of a marathon runner.  If you are tired, sluggish, or any other things that are bothering you, I would bet you are not eating properly.  Now, there are tricks to help bypass eating like a marathon runner but feeling like you are one, but I'll save those for another day :)

-Do you do Reiki?

Yes and no.  I know reiki, I do reiki, but not solely. The healing I do is integrated from several modalities I have learned over the years and will likely continue to add more as time goes on.  I am always open to learning new tricks, but I am also very happy with where I am at right now as an energy practitioner. The healing modality I often use is actually called Puja.

-How can you heal me if you aren't in the same place as me geographically?

In the same way that you can think about someone and then they call you at that same moment, we are all connected energetically, and healing can be sent and received in the same manner by just tapping into that connection.  Bypassing the mental brain is the trick.

-Where do your intuitive messages come from?

My current and most probable theory is that all things come from me, but not my intellectual brain, but from my soul/spirit. and from there, the unseen network of information that is available to all, if you work at tapping in.

-Can a reading from you answer my question(s)?

Yes and No.  Someone can only answer your question to the level of their own understanding and if there is a lesson you need to learn, a reader can find they are blocked from answering you accurately.

They may tell you what you need to hear, not what you want to hear.  Just because someone is a "psychic" doesn't mean they have all the answers, in fact you might find the answers you are looking for are literally all around you.  If you pay attention to your surroundings, you will notice answers seem to come from strangers, on radio announcements, from signs on a billboard, etc.

And the more you pay attention and give gratitude to these synchronizations, the more they will happen.  In fact, if they aren't happening, either you are not paying attention, or you are not on a route that would best serve your life mission.  Some meditation may be in order.

-What am I supposed to do about... (insert topic) in my life?

It is hard, when in the middle of chaos, to rely on ourselves for guidance.  To think that sitting and meditating is the best answer and not to go to a psychic is really a hard pill to swallow.  I would suggest finding an ethical spiritual person like myself or others I am affiliated with who seek to empower people and not make a profit off of them when they are in hardship.

-Why does weird stuff happen to me at night (i.e mighmares, scratches, etc)?

Because I can't explain everything there is out there, we just have to assume that if you are being bothered by anything you are not happy with, then some protection is in order.  Either google how to do it, or ask me, and I will share what I do.  I offer services for these things but I'm actually getting away from it, because I would prefer to empower people to do their own protection.

-I think channeling is weird, can you explain it?

I can't explain what others do, but if I claim to have channeled information it is basically like I am saying, "I got this info and it is not from my brain."  I may give a title to where it came from, but really I believe it came from my soul.  I think all channels that give titles are just giving a title to their soul information.  Personal belief.

-Why do you charge for your services, aren't they a gift from God?

I could write a novel on this, but I will put a few simple points.
I will always accept trade/barter/swap, etc.
It's not really a gift, since it is available to all, you just have to work to get it, and I can help you with this.
I worked hard to get to where I am, therefore thank you for helping back pay my spiritual "student loans" from my self-taught education.
You are spending your hard earned money on a great cause.. YOU.  Yes, you are supporting me and my family having food on the table and my Gaian Progeny project, but you are also getting so much in return. Now isn't THAT worth it?  I firmly believe that what you give you will receive back tenfold. I say, "Give like you are the receiver."
I am spending time healing/reading/teaching, etc for you so it is not really the content you are paying for, but the time and energy.  We practitioners are away from other things we could be doing (like meditating) we might be paying someone to watch our kids to offer services that we feel are going to help you, and that is why it makes it all worth it.  Most of us are not wealthy and have sometimes wondered if it would just be easier to get a day job.  At least we wouldn't get so many weird looks and have friends and family who pray for us to be saved on a daily basis or ask us questions like:

-Do you worship the devil or something?

Um. No.  And, I don't worship anything really.  I give honor, credit and respect to those who have lived a physical incarnation and got to a point in their earthly progress that they are now considered ascended masters such as Jesus, Isis, Quan Yin, Buddha and others, but I make sure I do not put anyone on a pedestal.  I also give credit to the fact that there are unseen forces out there and though I can not define with words what they are, I define it as "spirit" most times and that is the energy I tap into.

-You don't seem like all the other spiritual people I meet.  Why?

I am not perfect, but I work on myself constantly.  I also work hard to be a non-conformist.  Whether that means to not give into to societal standards or to not spout out the latest new-age jargon and pretend to be a certain spiritual-type of persona.  We are all special and we should embrace in our uniqueness.  If you are true to yourself, the right kind of people will find you. And yes, I swear. And I don't say "love and light" and "namaste" all day, let alone to end a healthy debate or rationalize cognitive dissonance on my end.

-You were in the Marines, how can you be spiritual in the military?
I'll admit it wasn't easy, but I also wasn't really completely spiritual until about 2007. Until then I was a dabbler.  It was during my time in the Marines that really made me decide to turn full-time Angi as the work in progress that I am now.
